Yellowstone National Park

In the Northwest corner of Wyoming lies Yellowstone National Park, the oldest, largest and most popular National Park in the continental United States. Few places on earth offer so much scenic and scientific interest in one area. Yellowstone is in the heart of the Rockies, a land of pine-clad mountains and broad, grassy valleys. The countryside is laced with lakes and streams of exquisite beauty.

Madison River – Yellowstone National Park

The popular West Entrance to Yellowstone parallels the winding Madison River, a route followed by the earliest pioneers into the park. It leads to the Grand Loop Road that will take you to all of the park’s major features.

In addition to superb mountain scenery, the park is one of the world’s principle wildlife preserves. Many visitors eagerly await the opportunity to photograph wildlife in its native environment. Yellowstone is a photographer’s paradise.

Firehole Fall – Yellowstone National Park

Traveling south on the Grand Loop Road towards Old Faithful, a side road leads to Firehole River Cascades. Here water pours through an 800 foot canyon, climaxing at roaring Firehole Falls.

The Firehole River is our introduction to the most famous and certainly the most popular section in all of Yellowstone. Our route takes us through a series of thermal basins, beginning with the Lower Geyser Basin. The road brings us close to the popular Fountain Paint Pot, pools of colorful, hot mud that bubble and sputter like pudding boiling in a pan. The mud is a mixture of silica, clay and water.

Manhattan, New York Beautiful City

As one of the most popular tourist destinations and heavily populated places anywhere in the world, Manhattan offers something for everyone, including vast amounts beauty, irrelevant of what you consider to be beautiful.

From the lush greenery and openness of Central Park to the awe-inspiring and breathtaking view from the top of the Rockefeller Centre to the iconic Statue of Liberty and the world famous yellow cabs, it would be difficult for anyone to visit Manhattan and not find part of it stunning.

Beautiful Place in Canada 2011

The highest waterfall in the world is going to charge you so impressed with God’s creation. Many things can be found there, besides the stunning natural landscape. Bring the whole family to visit Niagara Falls during the holidays or spend their honeymoon there and have an experience that is not forgotten. As a place famous honeymooning and the 7th wonder of the natural world, no surprise that Niagara Falls is tourism continues to grow stronger year after year. One reason may be that there is much more than Niagara Falls in Canada has to offer besides a beautiful view. Although it is more often the victims of trafficking honeymooners and retirees, Niagara Falls is also a fantastic place for families and adventurers to explore. Niagara Falls vacation can be romantic, funny, bold, or relax, depending on your taste.

Beautiful Place in America 2011

With geographic boundaries and public Transit becoming a theme on this list, it’s probably shocking to no one that New York City is the star of this list– bounded by multiple bodies of water (and New Jersey) and featuring the most extensive mass transit system of any American city, New York has long fostered the sort of environment where citizens don’t even own cars. Of course, most still do, but it’s possible not to, and a glimpse into our more easily sustainable future.
Next on our hit parade is San Fransisco– much like Honolulu, the SF-Oakland area has its hand forced by geography, and it also has an excellent rapid transit system– the BART– that enables a tightly-packed populous to move around as they would with automobiles in suburban areas.
The third-densest city in America bucks its reputation. Long the poster child for urban sprawl, the reality of L.A. is simply that it’s that big– density EVERYWHERE doesn’t make a city any less (or more) sustainably developed. The difference between Los Angelenos and the rest of the citizenry on this list is that L.A. has far more commuters on the road and not using mass transit.
